‘Prosperity Through Cooperation’ Drives Rural Growth Agenda

A grand seminar on “Prosperity Through Cooperation” was organized by Minaura Cooperative Union at the Vikas Bhawan auditorium in Orai, highlighting the crucial role of cooperatives in rural development, farmer welfare, women empowerment, and self-employment opportunities.
Chief Guest Rajeshwar Singh, Vice Chairman of the Uttar Pradesh Seed Development Corporation, emphasized that cooperation is not just an economic tool but a powerful mechanism for social unity and self-reliance. He stated, “When farmers, women, and youth work together, villages undergo real transformation,” underlining the importance of collective participation.
The event was chaired by Braj Bhushan Singh, Chairman of the District Cooperative Bank, who stressed that cooperative institutions act as a backbone for rural families. He urged people to adopt cooperative values in practice to achieve real prosperity.
Keynote speaker Dr. Praveen Singh Jadaun described cooperation as the soul of India’s rural system. He noted that transparency and honesty in cooperative institutions can effectively address challenges like unemployment, migration, and economic inequality. He also highlighted the vital role of women in self-help groups.
Chief Development Officer K.K. Singh, attending as Special Guest, assured full administrative support to strengthen cooperative societies and rural schemes. He emphasized that the cooperative model can serve as a strong foundation for making villages economically self-reliant.
During the program, Rahul Shakya, Amit Upadhyay, and Bharat Singh were honored for their outstanding contributions in the cooperative sector. The event witnessed the presence of several dignitaries, public representatives, and cooperative members.
The seminar concluded with a vote of thanks by Shyamkaran Prajapati, President of Minaura Cooperative Union, appreciating everyone’s participation and support.
