In a major enforcement drive, authorities in the Shuklaganj-Unnao region have taken strict action against illegal and unauthorized constructions. The Kanpur Development Authority’s Enforcement Zone-1B carried out sealing operations over approximately 6,800 square meters and issued notices for nearly 18,000 square meters on April 16, 2026.

The operation was conducted under the guidance of Vice Chairman Madan Singh Gabryal and Secretary Abhay Kumar Pandey, led by Special Officer/SDM Dr. Ravi Pratap Singh. In Devra Khurd village, around 6,000 square meters of незаконно developed plotting by Deshraj Chauhan and others was sealed due to lack of approved layout plans.

Additionally, an 800 square meter guest house operated by Gauri Shukla and others near Tara Rani Convent School was also sealed for violating construction norms. The sealed premises are being handed over to the Gangaghat police station for custody.

In another case, Bhurelal, who had earlier violated a sealed property in Pindokha village by resuming construction illegally, faced re-sealing action, and an FIR is being initiated against him.

The enforcement team included junior engineers and supervisors along with adequate police presence. Meanwhile, in Singhpur Kachhar area, a demolition notice has been issued for illegal plotting spread across 10,000 square meters, with a 15-day deadline for self-removal.

Authorities warned that failure to comply will lead to demolition with police assistance. Three more illegal plotting sites measuring 3,000, 2,000, and 3,000 square meters have been identified for further action.
