In a significant move to empower the MSME sector, Punjab National Bank (PNB) has launched an advanced digital lending solution named ‘Digi MSME Prime’. The initiative aims to simplify and accelerate access to credit for micro, small, and medium enterprises across the country.

The platform is built on a ‘Straight Through Processing’ (STP) model, ensuring a seamless and automated loan journey—from application to approval and disbursement—with minimal human intervention. This is expected to significantly reduce processing time and enhance efficiency.

Under this scheme, eligible MSMEs can avail loans of up to ₹10 crore with ease. One of the standout features of Digi MSME Prime is its simplified eligibility assessment, which is primarily based on GST turnover and business cash flow. This eliminates the need for extensive documentation and reduces the burden of paperwork for entrepreneurs.

PNB believes that this initiative will not only streamline credit delivery but also strengthen the financial backbone of MSMEs, enabling them to scale operations and drive economic growth. The platform is designed to enhance financial inclusion and provide quicker access to funds for businesses in need.

Industry experts view such digital lending innovations as a game-changer for India’s MSME ecosystem, as they address long-standing challenges in accessing timely credit and promote ease of doing business.
